I just wanted to share a couple of things I've been doing lately that really seem to be helping me. About a month or so ago I was desperate for a natural remedy for heart burn. Man, I would wake up in the middle of the night in agony. Especially if I eat bread I'm doomed. I didn't want to take anything because of all the warnings against stuff like prilosec, nexium and the like. I tried Tums but they never worked for me once. After a bunch of research I came across a few articles on Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. It has a mother culture in it that other ACV's don't have. What the hell, I tried it. I mixed a couple of teaspoons with some water and drank it down. Jeez man, instant relief. It has other health benefits so if you have digestive issues do some research on it and give it a try.
The other thing I was having issues with was arthritis. It was really bad in my shoulder and knees. Somewhat problematic in my feet and hips. I knew I didn't want to take meds after reading about side effects. It turns out that good old gelatin works wonders for joint problems. Makes perfectly good sense too. I love the bone broths we've been doing, but that wasn't enough. I started mixing a pack of gelatin in a cup of herbal tea every night. (First mix in cold water, then pour that in to tea.) I can't believe the difference. I'm dumbfounded. Just to make sure it wasn't some sort of placebo affect I quit taking it for a couple of days and the pain was back, and after I started up again the pain was gone.
I get that these things may not work for everybody, but it was worth sharing just in case.
