I'm surprised, esp since I know how I eat, that we've never had a thread like this before, or at least I don't remember one, but who here 'snacks'? I'm looking for things that sort of take the place of a real meal, but are healthy and tasty. Tomorrow I'll be focusing on fixing things that I can take with me, require minimal fridge storage, are satisfying and are not bad for me. My smoothies I drink on my way to work, but then I get lunch and sometimes dinner in 15 minutes increments, and I don't like fast food anyways.
I have hummus w/ crudités, bran (or other) muffins, chicken salad and crackers, chex mix, hard boiled eggs, that sort of thing. I've been deep frying almonds and walnuts for a while now, too, so I can keep those in my purse. I also always have an apple in my purse. I'm just looking for other ideas, since it looks like it's going to be a long haul of noshing from now until the New Year.
